Episode 7: A Nightmare on George Street 4 – Longlist Announcement

In 2021, WANL partnered with Admiralty House Communications Museum and the Association for the Arts in Mount Pearl for this event, which has allowed us not only to offer bigger prizes, but also gave us a wonderfully spooky location to record our author readings!

And the prizes are…
1st Place: $350
2nd Place: $250
3rd Place: $150

Contestants were welcome to submit flash fiction original material of any genre to a maximum of 1,000 words. Writing format was open to all: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, monologues, etc.

Our five longlisted authors have recorded readings of their submissions with our go-to guy for all things spooky and altogether kooky, Mike Hickey.
We will be releasing these filmed readings for viewers to vote for their favourite – voting opens this week, and will end on October 26, so cast your vote ASAP! (Voting platform to be released soon!)

Thanks to our jury for helping us determine our longlist – we had 30+ submissions to send their way! The 2021 jury consisted of:
