Jen Winsor, Executive Director

Jen Winsor (she/her) has worked in the Newfoundland and Labrador arts scene for 20 years. She started with the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (MusicNL) as their Communications and Program Officer while acting as the Regional Educational Coordinator for the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR). She was honoured to receive the 2015 ‘Denis Parker Music Industry Builder Award.’
Jen left Newfoundland and Labrador to travel with Royal Caribbean Cruise lines working in their Arts and Entertainment Division as Cruise Program Administrator. She was happy to return home to work with the WritersNL as Executive Director. She has spent her time with WritersNL gathering information and developing resources to best serve all Newfoundland and Labrador writers, from emerging to established and those who have been traditionally marginalized. Jen has served on countless arts boards, committees and peer assessment juries and is writing a non-fiction book about crew pregnancies on cruise ships.

Wendy Rose, Member Services & Communications Coordinator

With over a decade of experience as a freelance arts journalist focusing primarily on arts and lifestyles, Wendy Rose (she/her) has written for local media outlets such as The Telegram, The Newfoundland Herald, Downhome Magazine, Now Atlantic, The Overcast, Secret East, CBC, Musicworks, The Independent, CBC Arts and more.
From 2016-2020, Wendy was The Telegram’s main live event reviewer for music, theatre, contemporary dance, film, ballet, festivals, performance art, and more, and currently reviews albums for The Downhome Magazine and writes features for Edible Maritimes.
Wendy has published over 250 event reviews, and hundreds of arts/lifestyles features, interviewing dozens of amazing local writers over the years, such as Megan Gail Coles, Herb Hopkins, Nellie P. Strowbridge, Michelle Butler-Hallett, Antony Berger, Nicolas Ruddock, Trudy Morgan-Cole, Russell Wangersky, Jim Wellman, Jamie Fitzpatrick, Victoria Barbour, Joseph Kearney, Dawn Baker, Ben Cox, Chris Ryan, Fred Humber, Bobbi Pike, Frank Galgay, William C. Malone – just to name a few!

Libby Creelman, Year of the Arts 2024 Program Coordinator

Libby Creelman has worked in the cultural sector of Newfoundland and Labrador for over 25 years. She served as Executive Director of WritersNL from 2002 to 2007, after which she was employed for 16 years with the provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, first as an Industry Development Officer in Arts and then as Manager of Culture. During her time with government she was closely involved with the administration and delivery of numerous arts and heritage funding programs. Libby is the published author of two novels and a short story collection.
