NSO violinists Dominic Greene and Daniel Fuchs will be joined by these poets:
Andreae Callanan is a poet, essayist, and critic from St. John’s. She is the poetry editor for Janus Unbound: Journal of Critical Studies, and the author of The Debt (Biblioasis, 2021).
Chukky Ibe is a storyteller, folklorist and poet. He is a Canadian Festival of Spoken Word Finalist, and Ontario International Poetry Slam runner up. His stories capture everyday magic.
August is a poet, playwright, and workshop facilitator from NL. They’ve performed at events around town including SWSJ’s Poetry Open Mic, which they co-host. They are published in Riddle Fence, Acta Victoriana, and Janus Unbound among others. August offers poetry workshops and has just released their second chapbook.
Danielle Devereaux. Danielle Devereaux’s poetry collection The Chrome Chair was published in April 2024 by Riddle Fence Debuts. Her chapbook, Cardiogram, is published by Baseline Press (2011). She lives in St. John’s NL.
Special emcee will be the City of St. John’s very own poet laureate Mark Callanan.
