WritersNL connects its members to the world of writing by offering professional development workshops, keeping members informed of writing opportunities as they arise, and by providing advice and information on various issues of interest to writers, including manuscript preparation, copyright, contracts, marketing, and promotion.
WritersNL has an open-door policy. Members range from acclaimed, internationally-known Newfoundland and Labrador authors to emerging writers wishing to take their first steps towards publication.
Members are writers working in all genres–fiction, non-fiction, poetry, academia, drama, journalism, commercial–and living in every part of Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as outside the province.
