Lexi is a passionate writer and activist deeply committed to advocating for social justice and equality across various intersections. Their multifaceted work spans poetry, activism, and advocacy for women’s healthcare, 2SLGBTQ+ equity, and the rights of marginalized communities. As a writer, Lexi channels personal experiences and insights into poetry that explores themes of resilience, identity, and empowerment. Her poetry serves as a powerful tool for raising awareness and inspiring change. Beyond her literary pursuits, Lexi is actively engaged in numerous advocacy initiatives. She is a staunch supporter of women’s rights, challenging societal norms and advocating for gender equality. Her involvement extends to addressing issues of housing and energy poverty, recognizing the inherent links between economic disparities and social justice. In the realm of health advocacy, Lexi is a dedicated voice for mental health awareness and addiction support, as well as educating medical professionals on
the needs of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. She is also actively involved in Autism and ADHD activism. Lexi’s commitment to community empowerment is reflected in her roles on multiple boards of directors. She plays an instrumental role in shaping policies and initiatives that prioritize inclusivity and equity. Notably, Lexi serves as a member of the Newfoundland & Labrador Parent Coalition, where she highlights the unique challenges faced by neurodiverse children within the school district. Additionally, she holds the position of Chair at Pride Grand Falls-Windsor, represents the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador with the Atlantic Citizens’ Assembly on Electricity Affordability and Energy Poverty, and serves as a 2SLGBTQIA advisory member for Violence Prevention South & Central.
