Jennifer Lake

Jennifer Lake is an expressive and unscripted writer from the west coast of Newfoundland, Canada and currently resides in Steady Brook, NL.  Jennifer holds a B.A. Social and Cultural Studies from Memorial University.  She has been passionately writing since the age of fifteen   and at the age of 42 years published her first book of poetry and excerpts “Jenny, with the dark brown hair” which was launched in November 2025.  Jennifer is currently involved in a joint writing project expected to be published this year and is completing a second book of poetry and excerpts with anticipated launch in February 2027.  She is also co-host for a local book club podcast, Summit Retreat Cafe’s “Past the pages” which made its social media debut this year. It has gained fast growing interest from local guest authors and book lovers! The podcast holds weekly book club meetings inviting authors to join in the conversation and promote their previously published or upcoming works, digging deep beyond the writing!
