Christina Wells
Christina Wells (she/her) grew up in the town of Northern Arm in Central Newfoundland/Ktaqmkuk and currently resides in St. John’s. In 2020, she relocated her family back to Newfoundland from Vancouver, BC, where she spent seventeen years teaching high school English, developing/teaching student enrichment programs (fiction, poetry, art) for the Vancouver School Board, and pursuing her creative writing practice. Her writing has appeared in ROOM Magazine, Riddle Fence, Horseshoe Literary Magazine, the Grimalkin chapbook, and her self-published chapbook, Silent Work. She was also the recipient of the NL Arts and Letters Senior Nonfiction Award (2024) and the Gregory J Power Poetry Award (2024). She’s currently completing an MA in English with a Creative Thesis at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.
