Brittny Del Bel
Brittny Del Bel has been a resident of St. John’s Newfoundland for over a decade, having first moved to the province for their post-secondary education.
They completed their Masters and Bachelors of Arts degrees in Classics and History, specializing in Ancient Philosophy. They have always been particularly intrigued by the nature of the soul, mythology, folklore, the relationship between humans and animals, and the interplay between Eastern and Western philosophical schools of thought. Their academic writing earned them a shortlisted paper at their first National Conference, while their subsequent research earned them a reputation for crafting strikingly original and creative work.
They are currently working towards publishing their first academic paper, as well as their first full length poetry collection. Their poetic style is a blend of form and free verse, and often intertwines their academic interests (mythology and philosophy) with personal perspective to explore different life experiences.
