Alex Saunders

Alex Saunders is an Inuit elder and author from Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

His latest work is a short children’s story that he is looking to get published.

He is a previous winner of the Northern Public Affairs Emerging Writers Award out of Ottawa and the Lawrence Jackson Writers Award.

Alex is featured on the Canada Council for the Arts website ” Stats and Stories” and as the son of a survivor, was featured in the Canadian National Geographic Society film about the Spanish Flu of 1918, ” Unmasking Influenza.”
