Get in the zone: a fiction workshop with Sharon Bala

In this 2 hour workshop, you’ll learn the two main ingredients of compelling fiction and get a few tips to help kickstart a story. The workshop includes significant time for writing. Arrive with a blank page, and in a couple of hours, you’ll be covered in ink and deep in the zone.

Date: Sunday, October 5, 2025, 2-4 PM

Venue: Centre for Newfoundland Studies, Memorial University. (3rd floor, Queen Elizabeth II Library)

Register for free: on Eventbrite

This workshop is for writers of all levels. It will be especially useful to those who are writing creatively for the first time and anyone who is intimidated by a blank page. Please bring a pen, a notebook, and your imagination.
