Getting Started with Indie Publishing: Everything Begins with Your Ideal Reader with Scott Bartlett
Please note: Registration closed on March 6 at 6 p.m.

Want to build a readership as an indie author but have no idea where to start?

Join Scott Bartlett for a comprehensive workshop on self-publishing, including how to get started, the elements you’ll need to put in place to produce your book, and how to conceptualize your story in order to maximize your chances of gaining readers for your work.

For those still on the fence about whether or not to independently publish, Scott will highlight the pros and cons of self-publishing. He’ll then go over the nuts and bolts of how to self-publish your book, ending with why marketing your book starts before word one.

Registrants are encouraged to submit any questions they would like to have answered by Scott to info@wanl.ca.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS WORKSHOP IS OPEN TO WANL MEMBERS ONLY.

Scott Bartlett was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland – the easternmost province of Canada. During his decade-long journey to become a full-time author, he supported himself by working an assortment of jobs; salmon hatchery technician, grocery clerk, youth care worker, ghostwriter, research assistant, pita maker, and freelance editor. In 2014, he succeeded in becoming a full-time novelist, and he’s been writing science fiction at light speed ever since. Scott Bartlett is also the recipient of the 2012 Percy Janes First Novel Award, for his novel Taking Stock.
