“WORKSHOP: “Disruptive Poetry” – a WANL Workshop with Shoshanna Wingate PART ONE

From poetic inventions to formal fractures, poets use disruption as a tool, a mood, an idea. This two-part workshop will explore disruptive poetry.
Participants will be given writing prompts and strategies. We will curate a disruptive poetry journal for ourselves and share materials for class collaboration.
April 23rd and April 30th, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (Newfoundland Standard Time)

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP FACILITATOR:
SHOSHANNA WINGATE is the author of the poetry collection Radio Weather (Véhicule Press) and the chapbook Homing Instinct (Frog Hollow Press).
Founding editor of Riddle Fence, her poetry and fiction have been published in a number of literary journals including The New Quarterly, The Fiddlehead, and Arc Poetry Magazine.
She is currently working on a memoir.
In 2019, she was named Poet Laureate of Sackville, New Brunswick.
