Jen Winsor, Executive Director

Jen Winsor (she/her) has worked in the Newfoundland and Labrador arts scene for 20 years. She started with the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (MusicNL) as their Communications and Program Officer while acting as the Regional Educational Coordinator for the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR). She was honoured to receive the 2015 ‘Denis Parker Music Industry Builder Award.’
Jen left Newfoundland and Labrador to travel with Royal Caribbean Cruise lines working in their Arts and Entertainment Division as Cruise Program Administrator. She was happy to return home to work with the WritersNL as Executive Director. She has spent her time with WritersNL gathering information and developing resources to best serve all Newfoundland and Labrador writers, from emerging to established and those who have been traditionally marginalized. Jen has served on countless arts boards, committees and peer assessment juries and is writing a non-fiction book about crew pregnancies on cruise ships.

Helena Elueme, Member Services & Communications Coordinator

Helena Elueme (she/her) is a playwright, musician and communications specialist based in Newfoundland and Labrador. After completing a Bachelors of Business Administration from Memorial University in 2022, she worked at Sharing Our Cultures and ContentCollab as a marketing and communications coordinator.
Helena performs with Sam the Band at local events and festivals such as Hold Fast Festival, Sarfest, Markets on Water, the Farmers Market, etc. Her plays have been performed on stages around Canada such as the St. John’s Shorts Play Festival, The Gathering Divergence Multi Arts Festival, and the King Black Box. She is currently working on another play!
When she’s not serving the community or working on her creative projects, Helena enjoys volunteering, traveling and reading novels while soaking up the sun at the beach!

Libby Creelman, Year of the Arts 2024 Program Coordinator

Libby Creelman has worked in the cultural sector of Newfoundland and Labrador for over 25 years. She served as Executive Director of WritersNL from 2002 to 2007, after which she was employed for 16 years with the provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, first as an Industry Development Officer in Arts and then as Manager of Culture. During her time with government she was closely involved with the administration and delivery of numerous arts and heritage funding programs. Libby is the published author of two novels and a short story collection.
