George Murray, Executive Director
George Murray (he/him) has worked in the arts and culture sector in Newfoundland & Labrador for 20 years. He is the former executive director of the Association of Cultural Industries of Newfoundland & Labrador and has sat on many local, provincial, and national committees and working groups, including the City of St. John’s Cultural Advisory Committee, Cultural Tourism Steering Committee, the Canadian Cultural Human Resources Council, the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association, various committees and juries at The Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, ArtsNL, Manitoba Arts Council, the City of St. John’s, City of Toronto, and more. He is a past WritersNL board member, and is a longstanding board member for the experimental theatre company One Little Goat (New York/Toronto). George is also an author with ten books, including seven books of poetry, two books of aphorisms, and one book for children. He lives in St. John’s
