24th National Poetry Month 2022

Celebrating The League of Canadian Poets’ National Poetry Month 2022 with St. John’s Spoken Word and the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries!

(April 20, 2022) – Is there anything more beautiful than a room full of people celebrating #NationalPoetryMonth?! 😍🥹🥲

Thanks to everyone who attended both in-person and online, and HUGE CONGRATS to all of the folks who read their poetry aloud to a crowd for the FIRST TIME EVER!
This is why we (WritersNL, Spoken Word St. John’s, and NL Public Libraries) do what we do — to encourage reading and writing, foster creativity, and bring likeminded talented people together.
Thanks to The League of Canadian Poets for making tonight possible, and most importantly, thanks to everyone who came out to listen.
The seats were full, as were our hearts. ❤️
