We are happy to note that our Pride Poetry Open Mic event is a part of the official St. John’s Pride 2022 celebrations, presented by St. John’s Pride!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
WANL is currently accepting submissions for featured readers.
Readings will be 15 minutes long, and pay $125 per person.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
1) Select pieces of writing that work with this year’s theme of “Pride In-Person.” We want to hear selections about connection, community, and kinship as we return to in-person Pride celebrations in 2022.
2) Ensure there are no identifying markers such as your name, contact info, etc., as a jury will be selecting our top submissions.
3) Submit your work to WANL via email in a .doc file format.
Send your submissions to info@wanl.ca using the subject line “WANL Pride Poetry Open Mic.”
The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on June 23, 2022.
Readers must be available to read their works either in-person or virtually on the evening of July 20, 2022.
Selected readers will be contacted directly via email.
