Sheilah Roberts

Sheilah Roberts Lukins was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland but now lives in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s with her husband. She has no pets at the moment, except for the occasional house mouse and anyone who makes their home in her garden. She has published two non-fiction books, Rain, Drizzle and Fog (Boulder Publications) and For Maids Who Brew and Bake (Flanker Press), nominated in the special interest category of Cuisine Canada’s National Culinary Book Awards.  A third non-fiction, Bottom’s Up, A History of Alcohol in Newfoundland and Labradoris due for release in 2020.

Winner of the 2018 Bruneau Family Children’s/Young Adult Award, Full Speed Ahead: Errol’s Gander Adventure was the first book in the Errol’s Adventures series. In Flying Ace: Errol’s Gander Adventure Errol risks his mouse life to save the lives of his human friends, coming to the rescue in a top-secret World War II mission.

Sheilah is a member of WANL, the Newfoundland Writer’s Guild, TWUC, Canscaip and  SCBWI
