Gareth Mitton is an author originally hailing from Rochdale, northern England, who has been living in Atlantic Canada since moving across the pond as an adventurous twenty-something in the early 2000s. His 2020 debut novel, Pedestal (Engen Books)—a science fiction story—was lauded by the Miramichi Reader as “. . . an admirable first novel, an innovative leap from the genre’s first-gen.” His second novel, Hard Cases (Flanker Press) is a high-octane thriller set in Newfoundland, Canada. Hard Cases has been described by reviewers as a “…well-written, high-stakes thriller with depth…” and “…a gripping thriller that not only delivers suspense but also excels in creating deeply relatable characters…”
